Brothers Burglarized Nassau County Home: Police

The men, ages 22 and 19, entered a home through an unlocked front door Saturday morning, police say.

Two Sea Cliff brothers were arrested for burglary Saturday morning after a 20-year-old resident spotted them in her house, police say.

According to authorities, Nicholas Lasser, 22, and Stephen Lasser, 19, entered a Sea Cliff home on Winding Way through an unlocked front door at 1:50 a.m.

The female resident heard voices and saw the Lasser brothers looking through a toolbox, police say.

The brothers fled on foot and were located a short time later of Sea Cliff Avenue by responding officers and were placed under arrest. Nicholas and Stephen Lasser were both charged with second-degree burglary. They will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
