Services to be Held for Isabella Grasso

Family and friends will remember the 17-year-old Lattingtown teen who was killed in Monday's Old Tappan Road accident.

Three days after a car accident , the 17-year-old Lattingtown teen will be remembered by family and friends as a girl who lived her life to the fullest, a talented dancer and a student who was actively involved in the Sacred Heart Academy community. 

The wake will be held at  on Thursday and Friday. Visiting times are 3-5 p.m and from 7-9 p.m. 

A funeral mass will be held at at St. Dominic's Church at 93 Anstice Street in Oyster Bay on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow Saturday's service at Locust Valley Cemetery, Ryefield Road, Locust Valley.

Grasso, a senior at Sacred Heart in Hempstead, was driving southwest on Old Tappen Road – a road that runs behind  track and football field – at 7:25 a.m. Monday morning when her 2003 Mercedes Benz 2 Door convertible crossed over the yellow line and collided with a male victim's 1998 Ford Explorer, police said. Grasso was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where she was pronounced dead at 9:16 a.m.

Grasso is survived by her mother and father Linda and Michael, her sister Michaella and brothers Andrew and John-Michael. She is also survived by her grandmother Maryse La Marca, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her boyfriend John Bellock – a senior running back on the .

"Isabella was well-liked, a wonderful person at the peak of her senior year, waiting to hear from colleges and participating in school events," said Sacred Heart's Principal, Sister Joanne Forker, CSJ. "We are united in our faith. We know that Isabella is in God’s hands, but we shall miss her dearly." 

Forker said that counselors have been on hand at the all girl Catholic college preparatory school to help students and faculty members grieve.
