Sewanhaka Riflery Wins Contested Match Against Glen Cove

The results from the official riflery scorer are in and  with a score of 675-661. The score was originally 676-675, Glen Cove.

According to Sewanhaka district riflery coach Alan Zarchy, one of Glen Cove's sheets had a sizable error on it.

"One target shot by Glen Cove was added as an 88 and it was actually a 78," Zarchy explained. "Additionally the scorer subtracted five additional points incorrectly scored for Glen Cove."

The Glen Cove match was held in Glen Cove's cafeteria Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The Sewanhaka team's record is now 3-3. Zarchy noted that being one of the top four teams in the league now makes it critical that the Sewanhaka team win their upcoming match against Garden City. As only the top three teams go to the playoffs, beating Garden City would help to secure this spot. The Garden City team has lost to the same teams that Sewanhaka has this season, Zarchy said.
