Soul Sound Revue will take the stage on Friday, August 29th to close out the Downtown Sounds concert series, in Glen Cove on Long Island’s historic North Shore Gold Coast.

By far the hottest Motown show this side of Detroit, Soul Sound Revue performs the greatest hits in the true Motown tradition. Composed of three lead vocalists, a vibrant six-piece rhythm and multi-horn backup band, the group recreates the dynamic vocal harmonies and musical styling of classic Motown groups of the ‘60s through the ‘80s, acts like The Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and more.

Soul Sound Review has performed with a number of Detroit’s greats such as, The Temptations, the Marvelettes, The Chi-Lites, Wilson Pickett, The Drifters, Little Anthony and the Imperials, and Shirley Austin Reed. The group is a regular act at the world class Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort in Uncasville, CT.

The free concerts are open air, at the Glen Cove Village Square, intersection of Glen and Bridge Streets. Shows begin at 7:30 and run until 9:30. There is ample free parking in the adjacent indoor and outdoor parking lots.

The Downtown Sounds Concert Series is presented by the City of Glen Cove and the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District. This year’s presenting sponsors are: Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Garvies Point. Other sponsors include American Community Bank, North Shore-LIJ Glen Cove Hospital, North Coast Subaru, Avalon Bay Communities, Kimco Reality, The Downtown Café, The Glen Cove Printery. Restaurant partner is The View Grill and media partner is The SUNY College at Old Westbury, OWWR Old Westbury Web Radio and OWTV Old Westbury Television.
