Spinello: Plans for Speed Monitoring Camera on Hold
The Glen Cove mayor says the placement of the unit is 'suspended pending further notice.'
Plans for placing a speed monitoring camera on Dosoris Lane in Glen Cove are on hold, city officials told Patch on Monday.
Mayor Reginald Spinello provided this update:
In my Friday (Sept. 5) afternoon conversation with the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency regarding the implementaion of a mobile speed monitoring unit at Dosoris Lane near Glen Cove High School, I was informed that the unit will not be placed there. The placement of the mobile speed monitoring unit is suspended pending further notice. It appears there is a logistics issue regarding its placement in that area. We will keep everyone informed of any updates.
