St. Patrick's Day Parade in Glen Cove: What You Need to Know
The largest annual parade in Glen Cove will feature vintage cars, costumed performers, bands of Irish pipers and more.

The premiere St. Patrick’s Day celebration on the North Shore of Long Island returns to Glen Cove on the third Sunday of March.
The 28th Annual Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade will feature a large mix of marching groups, including bands of Irish pipers and other musicians.

Vintage cars, costumed performers, face painters and fire and police units are among the many groups featured in the event.
The parade begins at 1 p.m. in Downtown Glen Cove on Sunday, March 20.

This year’s Grand Marshal for largest annual parade in Glen Cove is Locust Valley resident, Paul Long. Long is a community activist, a first responder in both Locust Valley and Glen Cove and works to provide support services for serving soldiers and returning veterans.
He will be accompanied by Aides to the Grand Marshal: Regina McGannon Begley and her husband Peter Begley. The Begley’s are known for their involvement in Irish social and cultural affairs.

The parade will gather behind Finley Middle School on Forest Avenue will march throughout the streets, ending at St. Patrick’s Church, located at 235 Glen St.
The full parade route:
- The Parade moves from the designated formation areas around the Finley Middle School into Forest Avenue south of Dosoris Lane.
- It then follows Brewster Street to School Street.
- From there it moves into Glen Street
- It then follows Glen Street to the end of Parade Route at St. Patrick’s Church, which is located at the corner of Glen Street and Pearsall Avenue.

All proceeds raised through the parade, beyond parade expenses, are donated to charities chosen by the Grand Marshal.
