Crews will be repairing a water service line in Glen Cove on Thursday. Towle Place is will be temporarily closed to traffic.
State officials have postponed closing the Exit 38 ramp from eastbound Long Island Expressway to eastbound Northern State Parkway.
All motorists must have their vehicles out of the roadway or driveway and park them on side roads, according to officials.
"The GCPD will continue to monitor this area and they will remove barriers when deemed safe to do so," officials said in a statement.

On Thursday, November 25, 2021, the Glen Cove Education Foundation will host a 5K Turkey Trot.
The work is expected to last five to seven days, officials said.
Mayor Tim Tenke's office said the move was to protect residents' safety.
The gas main replacement is meant to make the utility's networks safer and more reliable for customers.
Construction workers will deploy flagmen to direct traffic, officials said. Police will also put up "no parking" signs.
