Voter's Guide: North Shore School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

North Shore residents will vote on the school district’s $99,494,105 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.

The proposal calls for a 1.97 percent increase in spending over the current year and a 84,498,091 tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Three candidates are running unopposed for three open seats on the North Shore Board of Education.

Candidates include:

  • Sara Jones
  • Marianne Manning Russo
  • Dave Ludmar

Residents are able to vote from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the North Shore High School gym, located at 450 Glen Cove Ave.
