On Sunday, July 16, Morgan Park Summer Music Festival will present Walking the Line: The Music of Johnny Cash. The free performance begins at 7:00 p.m. in Morgan Park.

Always a Morgan Park audience favorite, Tom Cavanagh's stage show, Walking the Line, is a musical journey through the renowned work of Johnny Cash. Cavanagh and his musicians, with vintage costuming and period-accurate instruments, faithfully present the look and sound of a performance by Cash and his band. With Tom portraying the role of the famed man in black, they present music from every decade of Cash's long and celebrated career. Cavanagh and his band's Walking the Line is especially familiar to local audiences for their many well-received regional performances. Expect to hear all your favorites and more!

“Tom Cavanaugh’s Johnny Cash is always a highlight of our summer concert series. We have concerts every Sunday night from now until August 27th. Come on down,” said the festival chairman, Tom Suozzi.

All concerts are held at Morgan Memorial Park in Glen Cove, overlooking the harbor at Germaine Street between Landing Road and McLoughlin Street. The free concerts begin at 7 pm.

Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization. The high-caliber professional concerts offered each summer are free to the public and are completely funded through generous donations from businesses and individuals.
