Woman Drove Drunk on the LIE With 4-Year-Old Daughter in Car: Police

OLD WESTBURY, NY – A Hampton Bays woman faces felony DWI charges after police say she drove drunk with her 4-year-old daughter in her car Saturday night.

According to Nassau Police, Jillian Bellows, 36, was driving a 2016 Toyota Scion east on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 39–Glen Cove Road when she was observed by police swerving and failing to maintain her lane of travel.

A traffic stop was performed and the officers determined that Bellows was intoxicated with her 4-year-old daughter buckled in a rear carseat.

Bellows is charged with aggravated DWI with a child under 15 in the car, aggravated DWI, DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, fail to stay in single lane, driving across roadway marking, use portable electronic device and driving in excess of 55 mph. She will be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.

The child was released to a family member.
