NEW YORK CITY — Rhone, an official lifestyle apparel partner of the NBA, will transform Hudson Yards' Public Square & Gardens near the Vessel into an outdoor playground next week.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14, Rhone invites New Yorkers to participate in free basketball games and other activities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The "Adult Recess" event will feature pickup basketball, HORSE, Around the World and shoot around games designed to encourage movement, friendly competition and community participation.
NBA legend Joakim Noah is scheduled to attend from noon to 2 p.m. for photo opportunities, autograph signings and games with participants.
Additional activities will include a hat customization station where attendees can add their favorite NBA team patch to a complimentary Rhone hat, along with music from a live DJ and giveaways.
Participants will also receive a QR code to explore Rhone's 12 Pursuits initiative, which highlights a different theme each month.
The activation comes ahead of the NBA season's scheduled Oct. 20 tip off and follows Rhone's Oct. 8 launch of an expanded NBA-licensed apparel collection, which includes women's clothing for the first time.
The event is free to attend. For more information you can visit Rhone's social media pages.
