About ROLLN

ROLLN is the brainchild of Gavin Tseng and David Tam, Australian expats and longtime friends who relocated to New York several years ago – both were nostalgic for the ubiquitous and beloved hand roll sushi they grew up with and were inspired to share this delicious and healthful way of eating with their new community. They launched ROLLN in November 2018 to raise the bar for takeout sushi.
The small Flatiron shop serves hand rolls made fresh daily using organic ingredients, certified sustainable seafood, and house-made sauces. ROLLN’s menu is tightly curated with a singular focus on quality, offering perfected versions of familiar favorites in the Australian-inspired hand roll style. Highlights like Salmon Avocado and Spicy Tuna are offered alongside playful signatures like the Cheeseburger Roll and seasonal specials. The shop is the first in NYC to offer the option of high-protein, all-quinoa hand rolls, made using a proprietary cooking technique that brings a full flavor and fluffy texture that won’t fall apart. Making as much as possible in-house and using only the best ingredients, ROLLN is proud to be naturally 100% gluten-free and accessible to as many people as possible.
Located across the street from Madison Square Park, the contemporary shop is friendly and airy, with a focus on efficiency and clean design. The self-service ordering kiosks make it simple and fun for Flatiron locals, workers and park-goers alike to mix-and-match their hand rolls for a wholesome meal, or stop in for a quick snack on-the-go.
