• Worker severely injured at Great Neck construction site (newsday.com) — A construction worker was seriously hurt Tuesday morning when a forklift tipped over at a residential building site on East Shore Road in Great Neck, trapping him underneath. Great Neck’s Vigilant Fire Company and other responders freed the man, treated crushing injuries to his chest and arm, and rushed him in stable condition to North Shore University Hospital while police investigated the scene.
