• Queens Pair Arrested In Great Neck Burglary, Illegally In U.S., Police Say (patch.com) — Residents of Great Neck are learning more about a March home burglary that led to the arrest of two Queens residents accused of stealing designer handbags, alcohol, a camera, and cash. Nassau County police say both suspects, arraigned last week, are also allegedly in the country illegally and now face removal proceedings in addition to burglary charges.    

• Great Neck District girls golf wins Long Island championship (newsday.com) — Great Neck’s girls golf team has captured its sixth straight Long Island championship, powered by seniors Lia Huang and Caylin Wong and strong depth throughout the lineup. Playing at Pine Hills in Manorville, Great Neck dominated Southampton/Pierson, with standout rounds from teammates Lele Liu and Cherry Wang. The team now heads to the state tournament in early June.
