• LI oyster farm, arts group give shells new life (libn.com) — A Long Island oyster farm and arts alliance are turning thousands of cleaned oyster shells into free or low-cost art materials for schools, museums, and nonprofits, including Great Neck Public Schools. The Creative Reuse Project keeps shells out of landfills while giving local students and artists an unusual medium, with plans to grow carefully as funding and logistics allow.
