• Great Neck man charged with assaulting 76-year-old woman (longislandpress.com) — Police say a 76-year-old woman was pushed to the ground during an argument over a dog on her lawn in Great Neck, sending her to the hospital with significant pain. A 47-year-old Great Neck resident, Michael Kane, was arrested at his Colgate Road home and charged with second-degree assault, with arraignment scheduled in First District Court in Hempstead.
   

• Jewish American Reportedly Released From Iranian Prison but Barred From Leaving (vinnews.com) — A Jewish Iranian American businessman who lives in the Great Neck area remains stuck in Iran despite being released from Evin Prison, because authorities have imposed a travel ban. U.S. officials consider him wrongfully detained, and his family, worried about his health and cancer history, continue pushing for his return to New York so he can resume medical care and normal life.
