Car Bursts Into Flames on Northern State Parkway

A 2001 BMW burst into flames on the eastbound lane of the Northern State Parkway in Lake Success on Monday morning, fire officials said.

Nassau County Fire Companies 3 and 5 responded to the scene to find the vehicle fire fully involved at 8:30 a.m. near Lakewood Road.

No one was injured, fire officials said.

Two fire engines and one rescue truck helped extinguish the flames. Fire officials were on the scene for 45 minutes.

Fire officials said they do not know the cause of the fire.
