Children Dancing 26th annual Year-end Showcase
This performance is a joyous celebration of Dance!
The dances are created by Beth Jucovy, director and teacher, often with input for the students. Styles include Classical Ballet, Contemporary and jazz Ballets, Pointe works, Creative dance works and story dances, Jazz/Theater Dances and Isadora Duncan Repertory. Performers range in age from 4-18.
Children Dancing is devoted to dance as an expression of individual voice and to the development of expression, creativity and discipline through the medium of dance. Additionally the school helps to develop aspiring professional dance artists. The school offers the opportunity of being considered for the Dance Visions NY Youth Company, which often performs with the professional company, Dance Visions NY in various venues.
Beth Jucovy is director of Children Dancing since 1988 and of Dance Visions NY, Long Island's professional Classical and Contemporary Dance Company, since 1990.
The school will be offering classes and workshops in many styles and for all ages this summer including "Body Conditioning for Well-being". The Company will be preparing for a series of performances as well.
