District Unveils User-Friendly Website

Great Neck Water Pollution Control District Updated Website Offers Residents and Contractors Improved Access to Real-Time Information

Great Neck, NY, (November 06, 2014) – Recognized as an industry leader in wastewater management, the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District unveiled its updated user-friendly website today. The website, which maintains the same domain name of www.gnwpcd.net, enhances the District’s digital footprint in communicating facility operations, while providing information to both residents and contractors regarding current events and future District projects. The aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate site has been designed for the convenience of users of all skill level.

“We have had a truly remarkable year and launching the updated website is an excellent opportunity for us to further engage and involve our residents in the operations of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District,” said Jerry Landsberg, District Commissioner and Chairperson. “By having access to real-time information, the residents we serve will be active participants in our goal of continuing to protect our environment.”

The website has been updated to provide quick and easy access to the latest information. News Updates and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) tabs are now available on the home page for both residents and contractors to access information. The new design also allows for easy access to information on cell phones, tablets and any mobile device.

“The website is an excellent way to commemorate 100 years of serving the Great Neck community,” said District Commissioner Deena Lesser. “Our state-of-the-art facility needs a platform to showcase the many environmentally-friendly initiatives, which have made the District a regionally recognized leader.”

The Great Neck Water Pollution Control District has been touted as an industry leader in wastewater management, and the debut of the website is among the numerous modernizations the District has launched to effectively serve the Great Neck community.

“Our website is reflective of the standards we strive for,” added District Commissioner Steve Reiter. “The design, convenience and accessibility of our website represent the core values, which we are eager to share with our community.”
