Inform Fitness Offers a Unique Workout For a Busy Life
The workout is not what most would expect.
Fitting a workout schedule into a busy life can be a challenging task, but it doesn’t have to be. Inform Fitness, of Port Washington, offers a 20-minute a week workout that not only helps clients to feel healthy and better about themselves, but it builds strength and endurance.
“There are real benefits to this workout,” said Port Washington resident Adam Zickerman, who refined the 20-minute a week workout, after learning about it from a former trainer.
“I hated it the first time I did it,” said Zickerman.

But, then something happened — the more Zickerman poured himself into the workout, the stronger and better he felt. It soon became a hobby that went wild, said Zickerman, who became determined to tweak the workout and popularize it.
Zickerman, who was in sales at the time, took the workout, which was originally designed for body builders and requires lifting weights slowly to work muscles to their fullest, and tailored it so it can be taken advantaged by anyone — its challenging enough for 20 to 40-year-olds and safe enough for a 90-year-old.

He calls it the Power of 10.
“Only five to seven exercises complete a total-body workout when performed using our special equipment,” said Zickerman, who said that while the workout sounds easy, his clients sweat and within two sessions feel the results.
“This is not a marketing ploy,” said Zickerman. “This workout is efficient and safe and you will feel healthier. It will leave you questioning your previous workouts.”
Since reinventing the workout 17 years ago, Zickerman, has opened several Inform Fitness locations across the country, including Manhattan, Port Washington, New Jersey, Virginia and LA. Inform Fitness also touts a mobile gym.
Zickerman also published a New York Times best selling book, called the Power of 10, which lays out his philosophy for total body health and fitness, which includes a combination of exercise, nutrition and rest.
The gyms themselves are not what most expect, filled with machines that have wait lists and loud music. Instead, they offer a peaceful environment, where clients can focus on their workout with a personal trainer, who many are surprised to find are dressed in business casual wear.
“There is a level of modesty in the way our trainers dress,” said Zickerman. “People appreciate that.”
