Nassau County Leg. Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) joined Jim Garnett, Exec. Director of the Nassau County Dental Society (NCDS), Stephanie Morahan, RN, Community Health Nurse for Project Independence, Dr. Robert Weibman, Dr. Robert Trager, Dr. Lidia Epel and Dr. Nicholas Tucci at the ‘Free Oral Cancer Screening’ sponsored by Great Neck Rotary and NCDS at the Great Neck Social Center on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Leg. Bosworth commented, “Oral cancer is the sixth most common cancer in the United States. The Great Neck Rotary and NCDS have provided such an important service through this 10 minute screening that is painless and no-cost. Early diagnosis and treatment of oral cancers greatly improves outcomes and chances of survival. Our community is fortunate to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.”
