Man Arrested in Great Neck for Grand Larceny, Criminal Mischief
A resident's car window was smashed; handbag stolen but later recovered.

Nassau County Police arrested a Far Rockaway man in Great Neck on Saturday at 10:40 p.m.
Detectives say a woman, 58, was at her North Road home in Great Neck when she heard the sound of glass breaking outside. Looking outside her window, she saw a man walking away from her 2000 Nissan. The front passenger window of her car was broken, and her handbag was missing.
When Third Precinct police responded, they discovered Richard Salako, 37 of Bay 28th Street in Far Rockaway, at another North Road residence. The handbag was recovered, and he was arrested.

Salako was charged with fourth degree grand larceny and third degree criminal mischief. His arraignment was scheduled for Sunday, at First District Court in Hempstead.
