N. Hempstead to Sponsor 10 AARP Defensive Driving Courses in 2016

Town of North Hempstead residents, 50-years-old and older, have the chance to reduce their car insurance costs, cut penalty points and improve their driving safety knowledge at AARP defensive driving courses in 2016.

These 10 courses, sponsored by the Town of North Hempstead, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following dates next year:

• Feb. 6
• March 12
• April 9
• May 14
• June 4
• June 18
• Sept. 10
• Oct. 15
• Nov. 12
• Dec. 12

Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Make all checks payable to AARP and mail them to:

Defensive Driving Coordinator, Department of Community Services, 1601 Marcus Ave., New Hyde Park, NY 11040.

Once checks are received, a seat will be reserved in your name and a letter confirming your registration will be mailed to your address.

Please be sure that your check contains your name, address, phone number and the date of the class you wish to attend. Seating for each class is limited.
