New Japanese Grocery Store Opens In Great Neck

GREAT NECK, NY - There's a new Asian supermarket in Nassau County. S2-Mart recently opened its doors to the public in Great Neck.

According to Newsday, the store is neatly packed with many Japanese products and brands including candies, snack foods, Ramune sodas, miso paste, sacks of rice and more.

S2-Mart's kitchen also makes grab-and-go dishes such as grilled salmon beef-rice bowls. In the coming weeks, there will also be bento boxes and onigiri which is seaweed-wrapped rice balls, the newspaper reports.

Since its opening, the store has already been met by positive reviews online.

"Great new Asian supermarket that features only Asian items. Really cool stuff. We bought mochi ice cream from here," one reviewer posted.

"Grand opening last week, snack food and all different female and male facial supplies. Pretty much find most Japanese merchandise in the store," another reviewer, who gave the store five stars, posted.

The store, which is located at 42A Middle Neck Rd. in Great Neck, is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
