The Town of North Hempstead budget "bait and switch" continues. The budget that has been proposed for 2014 falls just under the tax cap. In prior years, it has then been amended upwards, piercing the tax cap, after the November 5th election.
We can stop this by voting on the budget NOW.
Call interim Supervisor John Riordan at 516-869-6311 or email riordanj@northhempsteadny.gov to ask him to VOTE on the Budget NOW.
As residents, we deserve to know where our elected officials stand on piercing the tax cap, BEFORE the election. As an unelected official, Riordan should also recuse himself from the vote. See more here. http://bit.ly/17indyw
