The LIRR has restored all-day weekend half-hourly service along the Port Washington Branch. The new trains will begin running on Saturday, November 16th. Previously, train service was reduced to hourly back in September 2010 when the MTA instituted many service cuts in an attempt to fill a $900 million budget shortfall.
