• Potential Rabid Coyote Attacks Woman, Still At Large In the Hudson Valley (hudsonvalleypost.com) — Local officials are warning Greenburgh residents about a potentially rabid coyote that recently attacked a woman in Hastings-on-Hudson and has since been spotted in Greenburgh. You're urged not to approach any wild animal, to make loud noises and back away if you encounter one, and to report bites or suspicious contact immediately to your doctor and the Westchester County Health Department.
   

• Man Scams Elderly Victim Out Of $20K In Irvington After Claiming To Be FBI: Police (dailyvoice.com) — An elderly resident in nearby Irvington was scammed out of about $20,000 by someone posing as an FBI representative, prompting a joint investigation with the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force. Police set up a sting at 120 North Broadway, arrested a 32-year-old suspect during a planned cash pickup, and say additional charges may follow as the case continues.
   

• Rangers understand importance of setting the tone on home ice (amedpost.com) — As the Rangers prepare for their home opener, players practiced at the Madison Square Garden Training Center in Greenburgh, where they're focused on rebuilding a true home-ice advantage after last season's struggles. With a younger roster and fresh optimism, the team hopes to turn the Garden back into a place opponents dread, starting with Thursday's matchup against the Lightning.
