2 Dump Trucks Burst Into Flames At Suffolk Plant Nursery
Roughly 25 firefighters took on the blaze on the grounds of a plant nursery on Thursday.

MELVILLE, NY — Two dump trucks burst into flames Thursday afternoon at a Melville plant nursery. The Melville Fire Department was called to North Service Nursery, at 25 North Service Road, around 3:20 p.m., public information officer Steve Silverman said.
Roughly 25 Melville volunteer firefighters were dispatched with three engines, a brush truck, ambulance, fire police and paramedic responder. Chief David Kaplan directed operations, with the help of Assistant Chiefs Bill Schmitt and Don Barclay. Three hose lines were used to extinguish the blaze, which was brought under control within 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.
