2 Hurt In 3-Car Long Island Expressway Crash
The crash occurred Monday night, police say.
Two people were hospitalized after an SUV landed on top of another vehicle in a three-car crash on the Long Island Expressway on Monday night.
According to fire officials, the three-car collision occurred on the eastbound side of the LIE in Melville, just east of Round Swamp Road, at 7 p.m. Officials say a Ford Expedition rolled and landed on top of another car in the crash.
Two people involved in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries. One person was transported to Plainview Hospital and the other was transported to Nassau University Medical Center.

The Melville Fire Department responded to the crash with a heavy rescue truck, two rescue engines, three ambulances and a first responder unit. All units were under the command of Assistant Chiefs Chris Nolan and Bill Schmitt.
