2 Hurt in 3-Car Melville Crash
Firefighters had to remove the door of a BMW to rescue one of the crash victims on Sunday afternoon.
Two people were hospitalized following a three-car crash in Melville on Sunday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred on Ruland Road near Country Pointe Court at 12:50 p.m. About 25 fire and rescue personnel from the Melville Fire Department responded to the scene.
Firefighters used heavy rescue tools to remove the driver's door of a BMW to free one of the crash victims. Two people injured in the crash were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad.

The responders, three ambulances, a heavy rescue truck, an engine and a fire police and paramedic unit were under the direction of Chiefs Bernfeld, Nolan, Kaplan and Schmitt.
