2 Hurt In Melville Crash Involving Pickup Truck
Firefighters used heavy rescue tools to extricate the pickup truck driver on Wednesday night.
Two drivers were hospitalized following a crash involving a pickup truck and a car in Melville on Wednesday night.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred in front of the U.S. Postal Service Processing Center on Duryea Road at 10:30 p.m.
Melville Firefighters responded to the crash and used heavy rescue tools to remove the door from the pickup truck and extricate the driver.

The drivers were transported to Plainview and Huntington Hospitals by the Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for their injuries.
About 25 firefighters and rescue personnel were on the scene with a heavy rescue truck, three ambulances, and paramedic responders. Units were under the direction of Chiefs Chris Nolan and David Kaplan.
