2 Men Stole Car In Melville: Police

The key fob was left inside the unlocked BMW, and two men stole it, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help with finding the men who police said stole a vehicle in Melville in September.

A man was dropped off in a white vehicle, possibly a Range Rover, on Phaetons Drive around 7:10 a.m. Sept. 22, police said. The man then stole a 2019 BMW X5 from the driveway, police said. The BMW was unlocked, and the key fob was inside it, police said. The men are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
