2 New Eagle Scouts Honored
Two new Eagle Scouts from Troop 106 were recently recognized at a Court of Honor for their contributions to the community.

DIX HILLS, NY — Boy Scout Troop 106's two newest Eagle Scouts were honored at a Court of Honor.
Daniel Renter and Christian Terrone were presented with Suffolk County Proclamations and 16th Legislative District pins by Legislator Susan A. Berland, her office announced.
For his Eagle Project, Renter dedicated many hours of hard work to take down the old, dilapidated fence at Huntington’s historic Conklin House. To ensure historical accuracy, he replaced it with 100 feet of beautiful, new split rail fence to brighten the prominent corner of Huntington Village.

Terrone, during his Eagle Project, led construction of an 80-foot retaining wall with over 450 stone blocks at the entrance of the Elks Lodge located in Huntington. Terrone opted to make that his project because it benefits and beautifies his hometown of Huntington, as well as the Elks Lodge, which provides care for United States Veterans and serves as his Troop’s Charter Organization.
"As a mother of an Eagle Scout, I know the time and dedication needed to accomplish this goal and just how special this occasion is for Daniel, Christian and their families," Berland said. "They should be incredibly proud of all of the work they have done for their communities. I congratulate Daniel and Christian on this amazing accomplishment and wish them all the best in their future endeavors."
