2 Women Use Credit Cards Stolen In Melville: Police

The cards were used for $6,000 in purchases at stores in Huntington Station, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the women who Suffolk police said stole credit cards from a customer at a Melville restaurant in August.

Two women stole credit cards from a purse hanging on a chair at T.O.A. Asian Fusion, at 873 Walt Whitman Road, around 2 p.m. Aug. 22, police said. Shortly after, the women used the stolen credit cards to make approximately $6,000 worth of purchases at Apple and Bloomingdale’s in Huntington Station, police said. They are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
