74-Year-Old Dix Hills Man Found Murdered In His Home: SCPD
The man's son found his father unconscious after neighbors could not get in touch with him on Tuesday, police said.

DIX HILLS, NY - Detectives are investigating the murder of a Dix Hills man who was found dead in his residence on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Armindo Reis, 74, lived alone in his home on 22 Penn Drive and when neighbors could not get in contact with him on Tuesday, they called his son, police said.
When Reis’s son arrived at the home at 6:15 p.m., he found his father unconscious and called 911.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Reis had sustained a gunshot wound, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
