Moments of silence will be held at the time of the first and second strike on the towers followed by the readings of the names of the Town of Huntington residents who died that day, according to Pasquarello. The event is anticipated to end around 9:30 a.m.
The Melville Department invited all fire departments in the Town of Huntington; the Huntington Community First Aid Squad; local dignitaries and the residents of Melville to join in the remembrance. More than 300 people have attended the ceremony in the past.
