Adults, Child Escape Car Fire In Melville

BREAKING: The incident occurred Sunday afternoon.

Two adults and a child were able to escape a car fire that broke out in a Melville parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the Melville Fire Department responded to the parking lot of Frank and Camille's Pianos, located at 482 Walt Whitman Road, to find a fully involved car fire at 1:25 p.m.

Firefighters quickly got the blaze under control.

The occupants were safely out of the vehicle upon arrival and no injuries were reported, fire officials say.

All responding units were led by Chief Jason Bernfeld and Assistant Chiefs Chris Nolan and David Kaplan.
