Amanda Mueller of Dix Hills, NY earned a BS degree in Childhood Education (1-6)
Graduates were honored at a December recognition ceremony hosted by College President Nancy Kleniewski and held in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. They also are eligible to participate in the college's commencement on May 21.
President Kleniewski welcomed and congratulated the students. College Council Chair Patrick Brown greeted the assembly before Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs F. Daniel Larkin recognized the honors students and degree candidates.
Student Association President Frederick Heil offered congratulations and Alumni Association President Karen Brown delivered the alumni greeting. Musical selections for the event were provided by the Catskill Brass, while Steven E. Brandow of the SUNY Oneonta Class of 2010 performed the national anthem and the alma mater.
SUNY Oneonta, which enrolls approximately 5,900 students, ranks third among "regional master's-north" in the U.S. News and World Report rankings of "schools with a strong commitment to teaching," sits at #47 on the Kiplinger's magazine list of the "100 Best Values in Public Colleges" and has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for excellence in community engagement.
