Construction to Close Portions of South Parking Garage at Huntington LIRR
Attention commuters: allow for some extra time to walk to the station.
The entire roof level of the South Parking Garage at the Huntington Long Island Rail Road station will be closed for the latest phase of the garage’s rehabilitation: waterproofing.
The roof level will be closed for about 24 days starting Monday, Aug. 17.
According to the Town of Huntington:

“The project will continue to the lower levels, one level at a time, requiring three-fourths of the level in which the work is going on to be closed, also for an estimated 24 days each.”
The Town of Huntington advises commuters to allow for some extra time to walk to the station. Parking should be available in the surface parking lot on the west side of New York Avenue between Railroad and Church Streets.
