Contractor Falls 25 Feet From Roof In Melville

BREAKING: The man was airlifted to a local hospital on Saturday afternoon.

A contractor was airlifted to a local hospital after he fell 25 feet from a roof on Saturday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the contractor suffered head injuries after he fell from the top of a commercial building on Spagnoli Road at 1:30 p.m.

The man was airlifted by Suffolk Police medevac helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Suffolk County Police and the Melville Fire Department responded to the scene. Melville firefighters were at the scene with two ambulances, two engines and a paramedic responder. All units were under the direction of Second Assistant Chief David Kaplan.
