Dix Hills FD to Host Blood Drive Sunday, Oct. 16
The department's goal is to collect 50 pints of blood.

Members of the community are invited to come donate blood at the Dix Hills Fire Department’s Blood Drive on Sunday, Oct. 16.
The department’s goal is to collect 50 pints of blood. One donation could save up to three lives.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dix Hills Fire Department Headquarters, located at 115 East Deer Park Road.

To donate, you must:
- Bring a donor card or an ID with your signature or photo
- Weigh at least 110 pounds
- Eat well and drink fluids
- Not have gotten a tattoo in the past year
- Be between the ages of 16 and 75. The 16-year-olds need parental permission and the 75-year-olds need a doctor’s note.
