Dix Hills, NY; June 13, 2019 - The Dix Hills Fire District will unveil its new Deer Park Avenue Firehouse with a public Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Sunday, June 30, at 10:00 am. The facility will house and support the many Firefighters and Emergency Medical personnel who volunteer to protect Dix Hills residents.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at the new Firehouse, located at 115 Deer Park Road in Dix Hills. Following the ceremony, the Dix Hills Fire District will host a community barbeque as well as tours its new facility. All men and women interested in volunteering can speak to the Fire District’s Recruitment officers in attendance.

Dix Hills Fire District Commissioner Larry Feld stated, “The new Firehouse is a fitting tribute to both our volunteers and the entire Dix Hills community. From its inception, the plan was to build a suitable operations facility for the dedicated men and woman who spend countless hours training and responding to calls, without financially burdening Dix Hills taxpayers. We received a great deal of advice and assistance from local civic groups as well as many individuals, and we are grateful for all the support.”
