Car Slams Into Utility Pole on Vanderbilt Parkway

Driver sustains non-life-threatening injuries in Saturday night crash.

The responded to its second accident this weekend involving an overturned vehicle.

The latest crash occurred when a Jeep Grand Cherokee slammed into a utility pole and overturned on Vanderbilt Parkway near Waydale Drive on Saturday at about 7:35 p.m. 

Dix Hills volunteer firefighters and rescue squad personnel were on the scene with an ambulance, heavy rescue truck, and paramedic responder, under the direction of Chief Richard Granahan.

The male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad.
