Dix Hills Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
The crash killed the motorcycle driver and injured two others Saturday night, police say.
A Dix Hills man riding a motorcycle was killed in an East Meadow crash that injured two others on Saturday night, police say.
According to authorities, Erick Galletti, 27, was driving a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Hempstead Turnpike when he struck the driver's side door of a 2011 Toyota at 10:50 p.m.
The Toyota, which was being driven by a 28-year-old man, was trying to cross a parking lot on the north side of Hempstead Turnpike into the eastbound lanes, west of Newbridge Road, when the crash occurred, police say.

Both the driver of the Toyota, and a 25-year-old female passenger, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Galetti was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 12:06 a.m.
