Driver Suffers Traumatic Injuries After Crashing Into Tree

The driver crashed into a tree on Ruland Road near Maxess Road on Wednesday night in Melville and was transported to a nearby hospital.

MELVILLE, NY--A Porsche driver crashed into a tree on Ruland Road near Maxess Road on Wednesday, May 22 around 8:20 p.m. The driver suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital by Melville Fire Department ambulance, according to P.I.O. Steve Silverman.

The Melville FD sent roughly 30 fire and rescue personnel with three ambulances, an engine, heavy rescue truck, paramedic unit and fire police, under the direction of Assistant Chiefs David Kaplan and Bill Schmitt.
