Driver Who Caused 3-Vehicle Crash In Dix Hills Wanted: Police
The driver stopped at first before fleeing eastbound, police say. Others suffered injuries in the crash, police say.
DIX HILLS, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said left the scene of a Dix Hills crash that caused multiple injuries in June.
A possibly newer model grey or silver Volkswagen sedan was traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway around 2:50 a.m. June 14 when the driver caused a three-vehicle crash, police said. The driver stopped at first but then fled eastbound, police said. The other two drivers and passengers in their vehicles were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.
A photo of the Volkswagen was not available. The man is wanted for leaving the scene.
