Driver, Young Child Hospitalized After Crashing Into Pole

The car hit a utility pole before overturning on Tuesday morning.

MELVILLE, NY - A man and his young child were hospitalized after a crash in Melville on Tuesday morning.

The Melville Fire Department responded to the collision on Bagatelle Road near Tamara Court at about 7:40 a.m.

Both escaped with minor injuries when their car struck a utility pole and overturned.

They were assisted by emergency medical personnel and transported to Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
