This class will introduce the fundamentals of Taoist energy practices through Qi Gong. You will receive an overview of how the philosophies of Yin & Yang, the Eight Energies, and the Five Elements are developed physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually. A set of simple exercises will be taught for you to experience flow of internal energies and to develop a sense of calm awareness.
Some of you may have seen the slow, gentle form of Tai Chi, however Bagua is considerably less known in the West. Bagua utilizes the same core principles as Tai Chi, however is practiced with continuous brisk walking. This provides an opportunity for those who 'just can't move so slowly' to develop their stillness within by moving about.
In this class, you will learn one or two Qigong exercises and apply them to within the arts of Tai Chi & Bagua.
