The Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run is one of the most prestigous foot races in the country and nationally ranked. Runner's World has named the Cow Harbor Race asone of the top 100 races in the USA. New England Runner regularly places The Great CowHarbor 10K Run in its Top 100 Races, stating "Big race atmosphere in a small town on the Island; it's a winner! Who says those "rolling" courses can't be fun?"
The 2K Fun Run / Walk has been a huge success. This event attracts families and participants of all ages. Over 1000 entrants are expected.
The 33rd Great Cow Harbor 10K Run will be on Saturday, September 25, 2010 and is expected to be the biggest Cow Harbor Race yet. Last year over 5,300 participants ran through the village streets of Northport, New York with another 650 running in the 2K race. Sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America, this race has been selected as a Championship Race for the tenth consecutive year.
