Voters Approve Half Hollow Hills School Budget, Board Members Elected

Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Half Hollow Hills residents approved a 2017-18 school budget on Tuesday.

The $248,047,565 budget passed with 991 yes votes and 315 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 2.8 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.93 percent tax levy increase.

Residents also elected Betty DeSabato, Diana Acampora and Michael Prywes to the Half Hollow Hills Board of Education.
